What’s your typical Saturday Like?

Recovering from Friday night, usually.

It’s my least productive day, haha.

I play hockey on Friday nights, last ice time of the day, 10:10-11:40 PM. By the time I get changed and hang out in the locker room for a bit, it’s 12:30 AM.

Then it’s about 45 minutes home. And I haven’t eaten yet, I have a pre-game meal 6 hours before I play, so “dinner time” is realistically 1:30.

Then I’m hitting the showers around 2:00. I have to wash my hair, which is long right now, and it’s wavy/curly, very thick and tangly, so that’s a half-hour on its own, just the process of carefully separating it first with my fingers, then a second run with my fingers, then a wide-toothed comb to isolate thick clumpy strands, those get wide-toothed combed again, using my fingers to carefully untangle or pull apart knots at the ends, then finally I get to a finer comb, then putting in leave-in conditioner, which requires now flipping my hair UP, complete with more finger-combing, and some half-strokes with the wide-toothed comb, then putting this folded neck gaiter I use as a “hair sleeve” so I can sleep in it while the ends still come out of the top of it, but keep it generally out of my face. It’s a goddamn nightmare of a process, lmao.

It’s almost 3 AM when I’m done, and I still usually need another hour to let the adrenaline come down enough to sleep.

So basically I don’t wake up til Saturday afternoon😅 And I’m not a “morning person”😂 So it’s like 3 PM by the time I get my ass off my shoulders. And this time of year, it’s almost nighttime again, lmfao.

So I’ll hurry outside and do some rushed lawn work, finish at dark, then I usually go out in the evening to grocery shop. And I have my elderly father with me, and he loves my steaks, so Saturday is Steak Night. He doesn’t have to twist my arm, haha.

Then I usually just hang out for the night, come on GAG, organize clothes/recently washed laundry, maybe take a bath because my legs are sore from skating the night before.

It’s probably my laziest day, haha.
