I made several friends when I would go to church events out at the mall or even at coffee shop. During the election I was out at this Dunkin Donuts my husband and I go there very often on Friday evenings for Bible study so I guess I am consider. A regular customer. I was waiting on my order I was wearing my JEHOVA T-shirt a lady complimented my JEHOVA T-shirt and give me a Tums up and I thank she went on to tell me oros nice not to see a Kamala or Trump T-shirt went on to tell me how a days people not often wear T-shirt with the word Jesus or God told me how nice it is to meet someone who still has trust in God. I invited her to sit with me and enjoy coffee. Now we become good friends she is very friendly and nice.

I first met my husband in the church hall after mass. I was 14 and never had any intrest in men before that day. I met a lady once at the pool. We both had turned up to swim but for some reason it was not able to open so we got talking as we both were annoyed. Ended up talking about both liking badminton but not having a person to play with (I can go with my daughter but she's not good at it so it's not much of a challenge for me). So we swapped numbers to meet up and play.

I've made new friends going to a 80's disco night too. Two ladies my age who like dancing like I do. It's a new friendship but we text and meet up for chats.

Most people meet friends though mutual interest groups, a lot of my friends have come through sports teams we have been part of. Other than that, work is a common place to meet friends, also in bars or pubs where it is normal to sit and chat to the person next to you.
