Im a wrong for blocking a friend who allowed her parents to speak badly of me?

So I work at amazon with my friend and haven't really met my friends parents yet but happened to see them drop her off. She asked me not to speak to her parents since they are a bit much so I didn't stay anything and kept Walking to do my job. My friend sends me a text about all the bad things her parents said about me over me lookingat them a few second as they dropped her off. I asked my friend if she told them I was her friend and that's why I looked their way for a few seconds. She said no She didn't tell them and won't be telling them She knowns me. I told her then why should I acknowledge her as my friend then? She replies she's barly knowns me and it isn't a big deal. I talk to this girl everyday and she often vents to me for hours.

She now crying to another friend about me blocking her and is super mad about it. Did I do the right thing? I told my friend I will not be friends with someone who won't acknowledge ne to her parents.

How would someone prevent their parents from speaking negatively about you? She didn't allow it, and she didn't say the bad things, her parents did. And she told you that that reinforcementand clarification about why she asked you not to speak with them.

Blocking her is wrong. She did nothing wrong. You owe her an apology.

You are right to stop being friends with someone whose family is speaking badly about you. It’s also an especially bad sign that she felt the need to actually tell you all the bad things they said about you. That was extra and unnecessary. On top of that, she doesn’t even consider you to be her friend because she said that she barely knows you.
