How do I get this girl to leave me alone?

this girl we will call amelia used to be my best friend. we were super close, spent a ton of time together, had the same sense of humor, we were basically the perfect picture of best friends. the problem was though, that she would always get mad at me over stupid and meaningless things. while we were fighting she would directly insult me, she wouldn't even try to talk out the situation, she was always just immature and not taking anything seriously when she was mad at me. recently we got in a fight this time because she was telling people the secrets that i told her. i yelled at her and told her that she has no place to tell other people the things i have told her. she continued to send me a long ass paragraph telling me how she wasn't in the wrong for telling people stuff about me, even though i SPECIFICALLY asked her not to say anything about it. (for context i liked the same guy as my other friend katie and i was asking amelia for advice.) but amelia turned around and told katie after i asked her not to.

me and amelia have gone back in forth fighting and i apologized for yelling at her, but i told her that i would prefer if we weren't friends anymore because i couldn't trust her with anything. i told her that i wasn't mad at her anymore, but it would just be better for us to not hangout or be close anymore. now me and this guy are together, and she's constantly texting him telling him bad things about that aren't true, and she tells my friends lies about me. she talks to me at school even when i ignore her, making fun of my family and she continues to tell people the secrets i shared with her while we were friends. i have tried my best to just ignore her but now this is really taking a toll on my mental health and making me miserable.

how do i make her stop?

There's really only 2 things you can do. Forget about her and ignore her and move on with your life. Then there's the old fashioned way, kick her ass. Now being somebody who had a violent childhood and fought a lot, not fighting is usually the better and wiser way. You can't let yourself get out of control and let anger consume you and take over. If you take it too far, you'll end up in jail. If you are a person who loses control when angry, don't fight unless you are attacked. If you publicly humiliate her in front of everybody, things could get out of hand. The psychological implications and consequences of that are beyond most teenagers comprehension. There's no need to turn a minor life problem into a major life problem. If you kick her ass, don't do it in front of everybody and don't take it too far.

F**k her! She was never your friend if she turned on you like that. You don't need anyone like that in your life. You deserve better. If you have to deck her a$$. Stand up to her and show her you will not put up with her crap. Some People your age are usually all about image and getting in with a clique that's above you. Social climbing. Just find friends outside school. Are there any art class places you can go to? Art can help you heal. Maybe ask your parents if you can go to some kind of classes like art, martial arts or improv. Meet other people. I got horribly bullied in school by teachers and students. My father told my "friend" I was gay when Im not. He told other people at school and I eventually ended up going to another school district. New people, new chances.

She is really immature! You can't make her do anything, the only thing you can do is take care of yourself that's it! Let her tell lies about you she's the one that's gonna look like an ass in front of your friends. Your real friends will not believe anything she says about you or your family. You definitely did the right thing in telling her you don't want to be close anymore. She sounds like she's in the 3rd grade honestly. Remember, you have done nothing wrong in this situation forget about her and so will everyone else who you are friends with. This is why I only have 3 really good friends that I know have my back!! She can't hurt you unless you give her the attention she is looking for and believe me she just isn't worth your time!!

Best you can do is ignore her. People like her, trying to get revenge for you breaking the friendship, are looking for a reaction from you. If you don't give her one, and just calmly ignore her, she will eventually stop... from lack of interest.

Enjoy your new friends and forget about her.

I have two advice solutions, a good decision or bad decision, the bad is beat her ass and hope violence is the answer or just continue to ignore her until she sees she's just behaving like a turd and she eventually gets tired of not getting a reaction and will probably stop, it's very uncommon for anyone to ever even confront you about any rumors anyways and if they fix you can always be honest and tell them the truth, she's only making herself look bad, long story short Amelia gotta get a life.
