Why is Gen Z so highly aware, sensitive and dramatic towards topics such as narcissism and child hood trauma?

It’s not bad that they’re aware of such things but it has gotten to a point where they feel they can use those labels/mental issues as an excuse to disrespect their elders or their parents. I get on social media or even Reddit and I constantly see post of people going on and on about how their parents traumatized them. Rather it be emotionally or physically but sometimes I can’t help but to believe that they may be being a bit over dramatic. Most childhoods and upbringings weren’t perfect and it’s true that our parents didn’t have the resources we have now to be aware of things such as narcissism, childhood trauma etc but unless your mother and father were sexually abusive, allowed you to be sexually abused or physically abusive to the point of hospitalization etc. I’m sure most of our upbringings weren’t that bad. Most of our parents were the age we are now. They were just figuring it out and trying. How we turned out to be is not 100% on them but with Gen Z being so aware of these new mental health things they are painting it to be that it is 100% on their parents when that is far from the truth.
