Why do adults tell kids, teenagers ot us young adults to stop growing up and joke with them?

I swear adults need to take a chill pill. It’s not our fault that you’re getting old.
When my niece and nephew came one of my aunts was like, “You guys are growing up way to fast! Stop it!!! You’re making me old!” Then laughed. The kids smiles.

One of my parents friends that I disliked always a tease. She always gave me a hard time and when I turned 13, she was like, “You better stop growing up so fast Why are you trying to give me gray hair? Stop it!!”

Then when I tried to talk to her, she was like, “No! I’m not talking to you! You’re making me feel old so I don’t want to look at that face! Get out of MY FACE OLD LADY!!!” That actually made me cry. I ran off. My dad said she was just joking but told her she went too far. She laughed too hysterically and very wild a couple times. My parents don’t talk to her anymore.

Then one of my old teachers I visited earlier this year said, “You’re seriously 25 years old? What are you trying to do? Make me feel old? Just stop it!” And stamped her feet and walked off
“I can’t even look at you!”
Man what are these older adults problem. Older adults have attitude problems.
