Have you had people approach you after many years, they see you doing well and want to be involved?

I’m doing better than before. I didn’t know that before.. I was just putting along.
But many people turned me away and wouldn’t be friends.
Years later I’m doing alright and I see these people again. But I feel like I’m better than them..

Why would I want to associate with a bunch of fair weather friends who only come crawling back when they see I'm successful? If they couldn't be bothered to support me when I needed them most, they can take a hike. I have zero interest in rekindling any kind of relationship with people who are only interested in me for personal gain. So they can keep their fake smiles and insincere flattery to themselves I have no room in my life for opportunistic leeches.
