We brainstormed while I was pregnant, and we could only settle on one name, it was the only name that felt right. My partner came up with it and I loved it, so that was simple enough. The middle name is where we struggled. Our baby has my partners last name since I don’t want to pass on my own last name, and my partner picked his first name, so it was up to me to pick the middle name. It took about 5 weeks for me to find one that I liked, and then we confirmed it on the birth certificate.
