I know this might sound like a silly question but there is this guy coworker who usually only does it to me?

I have like my female friend who may ask occasionally for piece of gum but when it comes to this guy he will ask me quite often, it can be in the middle of the day randomly Emily do you have some gum, now I don’t mind sharing a piece but almost all the time it’s kinda weird, I never asked him for piece, like yesterday he asked me almost at the end of the day if he can have a piece I actually ended up not having a pack this time so I told him I ran out go ask this other chick he looked at me and said nooo, gum is a gum am I overthinking this?
