No I saved all my old my own toys marbles models and I just kept collecting and collecting and collecting more and more man I mean all kinds of things until I couldn't take it anymore
So I sold off a lot of really cool stuff I kept a lot of really cool stuff I gave away a lot of really good stuff to kids that want to get into collecting and they have a good head on their shoulders and they understand they have to be responsible with things
I mean I still have a lot of collections of stuff but I mean I'll end up probably giving a lot of it away and I'll probably just keep a few things like I collect coins and stamps I mean I have
I don't think I've spent my change and probably 15 years I have bags of it and I have to start going through it because I know I have a lot of good coins but I used to collect Barbie dolls even yeah that's right black dolls over 200 black dolls marbles GI Joe's NASCAR cards baseball football
Jewelry watches clowns picture frames stained glass silverware. Comic books there's watches out there that are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and they look like old beat up timex's but they're not and I mean there was so much money
Even rocks that sounds funny but yeah there's some rocks for some big bucks
But if it's unique and different and I've never seen it before yeah I want it I like stuff like that and I might keep it for a year two three four years other than I find out what it's worth I might sell it or I might trade it. I mean I have game boys right now I have Nintendo's I have PlayStations but I want to get rid of all of them I have raggedy Ann dolls I have cabbage patch GI Joe I got an Elvis Presley and Barbie together I mean really just if it's beautiful and unique and different I want it if I can get it for a good price I'm not going to go pay top dollar for anything that's why I have what I have is because I know what I'm looking for and I know what it cost and if I can get for a good price and I want it that's why I can give away a lot of stuff because I've gotten lucky. I know a lot of things that I found
I had a birthday I think my kid was like 7 years old and he came over to my house and happy Birthday Dad and he hands me this brown paper bag and he's with his grandma from his mom's side and she said you're going to like your present I said really well let's check it out but she laughed as I opened up the bag and it's probably about 12
My parents kept some of my childhood toys. Most were donated to charity (after they asked me if I still wanted them). I regretted letting most of them go (Mystic Knights, Beyblades, Crazy Bones, Nerf).
I recently found some of my old pokemon cards in my parents basement. The cards had been stored loose in a big cardboard box. They are still in great condition.
What surprises is me the price listing's (found online) for vintage toys. Even if you have a rare (vintage) toy in great condition, it's almost impossible to find anyone to buy it.
Big market, maybe... but where are all the buyers?
My mom only saved my Alta Moda (high Fashion) Simona doll. It was an expensive Italian doll about 20 inches tall that came with gorgeous clothes. I have her and all her outfits. My grandmother taught me to sew, so a fashion doll that I could actually make clothes for was kind of cool.
I'm glad she saved that. I've saved the Wiggly Worm squeaky toy and the Harry Potter doll my son had. And a few odds and ends of his he might like. He'll toss out what he doesn't want in a few years. Also two beautiful wooden rocking horses my father made for him. One for when he was small and a bigger one for when he was older.
You can't save everything. Oh and some lovely art my son and a neighbor's daughter made. Had them framed. Charming.
Beautiful
A handmade hobby horse made by my oldest brother for me when I was 4 years old. Mom and dad saved it and passed it on to Lexi (my daughter) who is now 19 and my three sons used it. We now have it in storage and other than some scratches and missing paint it is like new. I assume Lexi will be the next with little children and the hobby horse will move on to her then.

Ouchie! No, i would complain they are missing. Then Mom: "you usually don't notice".
Waaah! she said "We paid for it we can sell it", but it was my gift.
I resent how that repeated.
Once i came home from school to... a bleeping yard sale! i tried to rescue what i treasured... i needed decided which i treasured most!!! but only rescued 2 models n a few books.
And they argued "you already read it", and "kuz of you we can't get money. You pay us for it!"
Horrible monsters. I resent all that.
Oh and when i saw a cousin, playing with one of my sentimental birthday presents, i freeekd out! "Who gave you that"
"It was a gift from my aunt" but it was not hers to give. I freekd out!
Even if they ask forgiveness it is too late!
Since your parents are Christian were they the parents who were very cautious when it came to buy you a toy? Lol
Nope lol... but my aunt did.
I remember going into her room as an adult, and noticing my old baby doll sitting amongst her pillows.
And I said, "Aunty, is that my old baby doll?"
And she was like, "No, IT'S MY BABY... you gave him to me when you were 6."
😂... and I just laughed. It was one of my old cabbage patch dolls.
My grandmother did and she even saved the classic most favorite of all times Barbies. Yeah well now it's passed down to my niece. My aunt give my kids her son's power rangers from the 2000's since now my cousin are in university we will give it back to my aunt later on the future decades later her son's decide to have kids later in the future.
They saved my electrical Märklin train set and boxes full of lego blocks. My daughter used to play with both when she was a kid.
I don't think these things will ever leave the family.
A few of my toys but all of my stuffed animals. They each have names and they're keepsakes
That's a very nice and heartwarming question Abby💜
I have a few of them still, a doll and a teddy bear and a few other things lol
They did! I had an old toy that was just a simple boat. But that thing held so many memories for me and still does
Yes they saved all my die cast farm toys but unfortunately my brothers kids either broke or stole them
They saved done if them, then gave them away when, as a 20yo, I told them I didn't want them. Last I knew, some of the toys were still bring used at a local nursery school.
Like in film toy story!
No, my mother had a thing about clutter. She threw out everything. I have several of my kids old toys. I am waiting for grandkids to use them.
Yes they did but it's stocked somewhere.
Rn I only have cars and two remoted helico
I saved my own, but I lost almost all of my belongings about 10 years ago, so I don’t have them anymore.
Yes plus some was my sisters my niece play with them and she plays with some of my brothers.
They did save some of my old toys. When they died and I cleaned out the house. I was stupid and sold it all at the estate sale. I should have taken it to a collector to sell them but I wasn't thinking straight
There is still a big container full of ninja turtle action figures in the basement
😂 well I don’t fit in it or anything but it is bigger than a normal container. I think 2x3 ft
🤔
Ok true 😂😂
old toys inherited to my young sister, they're badly destroyed lmao~~~~~

I still have all the Teddy / Build-A-Bears my mom got for me. Other than those, no.
My mom did, she gave them to my sons a few years back
It was good because I had actual metal toys not cheap plastic crap
No. We changed often living place and old toys were first things that landed in trash
Not toys but books. My mom saved my Harry Potter books and a few other YA books that I had as a kid.
No, think I wrecked most of them and the bigger stuff was sold when I started to trade silver (that was back when £100 really made something happen)
Yes, I still have some of my old toys, most of them are in my grandparent's attic, and in the basement.
Don't really remember what toys i had, nothing got saved
I don’t know what happened to my parents or my toys
Why you saying that?
No. They donated most of them and others they threw out.
Not the toys, but i still have my some cute dresses of when I was a kid.
What's surprising about that , ?
I am talking about when I was 6/7 yo maybe
Nope, garage sales over the years made sure of that….
Vintage Little People toys & little trinkets.
I saved my old toys.
They are all collectors items now.
What would you do if your toys became alive and talked to you?
I would hope they were my friend as much as i loved them. Not like film ted... aaaah!
@strateguy632 haha yeah or like chucky
Not all of them but I have a few
Nah they sold them at a garage sale
