For people who dont want kids, why dont u want them?

I'm not on a definite no on the whole kids thing, but it's not something I need, or am desperate to have at all.

I have several reasons as to why I'm leaning so much towards not wanting kids.

And the most important thing, is just that I don't feel that urge in me. I hear a baby or child cry/scream, and I groan.
I haven't been around kids too much, as I for most of my younger years has always been the youngest in our small family. So I'm not good at handling kids either.

The thought of tackling everything that comes with kids, especially as the woman, it doesn't give me many positive thoughts.
It's such a big responsibility, and you hear more often than not, that the woman ends up with most of the labor.
It could risk my life giving birth if anything goes wrong.
To get over the pregnancy as well is a tough cookie.

You hear about the men often not being there, or they cheat or leave because of lack of sex or something else.

Honestly, so many aspects of it terrifies me more than excites me.

Sometimes I'm not even good at taking care of myself. So I don't think I should have the sole responsibility of such a small thing that's completely dependent on you as the caregiver.

And currently I'm single as well, so it's not really an issue either way.
I don't want to find a partner just to have kids.
And I don't want to have kids just to be a mother.

If I found a partner it would be because I wanted him and wanted to be with him. And if we eventually got a kid, it would be because we wanted to that together, and because I wanted the kid with him.

Rather regret not having had kids, than to have had kids, and regret them.

I'm sure I have more thoughts than that, but I believe this is more than enough.

Expensive, too much liability, I don't have a maternal bone in my body, I'm not psychologically ok enough for kids, they're disgusting, they're brats etc.

Kids are expensive.

Too much responsibility.

God forbid my partner die and I'm stuck raising the kid by myself. I don't know if I could handle it alone.

I don't want to put the woman I love body through physical hell.

I much rather be a fun uncle/older cousin than a parent.

But I'm also worried. I don't trust the world, I'd be paranoid letting go.

I don't want to pass on what I have. I don't think I could raise someone like me nearly as well as my parents raised me. I turned out pretty well, but it wasn't easy.
