Girls, What do you think about this idea?

My brother suggested that I take care of his father in another state for free in exchange for housing and food. Because he is not in good health. He is not my real father; I am adopted. He is my brother's biological father. He has always been an absent father and has never come to see us. My brother earns a good salary but cannot go there to be with him and had this idea. Then he and my mother had this great idea because I am unemployed. They want me to trust that he will support me even though he earns minimum wage. (English is not my Native language ok)

Free housing and food is fine but they don't pay your taxes, your medical bills and it does not give you money to buy gas for your car and other bare necessities.

I personally would not accept that deal because

1. You have probably no medical background and training and they could hold you responsible if something happened to his father and

2. They are clearly seeing you as a free laborer to take care of someone they should be taking care of equally.

It is only an excuse to "hire" you as a guardian, let you do all the dirty work while they give you free housing and food. That is a bad deal and personally, I would not accept it.

Taking care of someone with health issues can be very demanding, both physically and emotionally. Are you prepared for that?

No. I have 3 animals 2 cats and 1 dog. My mother is very old the animals need of me. They don't think about how sad they will be when I'm gone. My cat is extremely clingy to me. She can get depressed. And I have a health problem too. Graves' disease. It's an autoimmune thyroid disease. I need medical attention.

My brother and my mother are totally selfish. They only care about them. I'm so sad
