Do you believe that parents, especially fathers with their daughters, cross boundaries but they mean no harm they just always want to protect you?

no, i believe they are possesive and dont see the child as a separate entity but more of an extension of themselves and it creates a hatred and repulsion in my case. Funny how my father didn't want to be a father while i was a child but won't leave me alone when im an adult and dont want or need him in my life...

I made all the effort, calls, texts to try and get him to want to see me but he is a deadbeat dad through and through.

Yes any strong father will do absolutely anything within his power to protect his family. Especially his wife and daughters because they are most vulnerable

Why would I be angry? I love woman they make my life meaningful. I will do what's necessary to protect them although they might now always like it

I see it like this... as a father, I take my responsibility very seriously. My daughter is learning how to be responsible. But there are things she doesn't yet comprehend due to her lack of experience and age. So, yes, as long as she's my responsibility, I will have the authority over the decision making process. At least until she's proven she can be responsible.

You see I came to this conclusion after realizing that my parents are only human. They’re overprotective of me even at 28 years old. It bothered me so much but the more I matured I realized that it wasn’t to annoy me or purposefully make me feel uncomfortable but more so just the fact that even though that I am now grown they still see me as their little girl. Especially my father and I was always a daddy’s girl. They don’t intervene with my dating life or personal life choices or decisions but they do little things that I don’t even think they realize is a bit much considering I’m an adult now. Like as if they are stuck in parent mode. Stuck between wanting me to grow up but not always allowing me to because they still feel that need to protect.
