This has happened three times now. Twice were when it was a friend going through a divorce and they accused me of leaking details if you that makes sense. I just quit hanging out with the one married friend because I could tell he already kicked me to the curb because he was a narcissists and found a new person to hang out with. That's when he got paranoid and accused me of giving info to his wife he's trying to divorce. We don't even hangout, what info could I give her? lol The other one has to do with him not getting along with his parents, so he thinks they pay me to let them know his whereabouts. Ridiculous. Why would I care about in either one of these situations? I'm the one that loses out on all this. I lost all of these people as friends because of this bs. A persons divorce is between a married couple, the other friend, well why do I care that he doesn't get along with his parents. Maybe I should have asked for more details as to why, but I think they're both narcissists and it drives him nuts is the basic gist of things.
It's amazing how many friendships go to shit over such petty stuff. That is kind of a short straw of mine. If you don't trust me, fine I'll hang out with someone who does. People sure are complicated.

Every day that sort of thing happens to someone. You might be best cutting ties with this toxic individual.
What initiates this? I don't even do anything. They all just become paranoid all on their own.
It has nothing to do with you at all. It has to do with them, and the negative people they are associating with.
What's the saying called? Playing the victim card? I think it's just that things aren't going the way they want and they have to blame somebody for it, even though it's their own fault they're in this situation.
Yes, a lot of people like to blame others for their mistakes / wrongs instead of owning up to them and fixing the problem they created all by themselves.
I guess I just need to screen who I hang out with more. If they're the type of person that requires a lot of effort to keep happy and have a lot of complaints about everything, then that's a good indicator that they're also very insecure and have trust issues.
