What do you think about a REVERSE CURFEW?

One family established a Reverse Curfew for their teenage daughter.

As the daughter explains...

"I had a reverse curfew: I wasn't allowed to come home on Friday nights BEFORE 11 p. m. There were times when I had to sit on my front porch and wait because my friends dropped me off at, like, 10:30. When I got older, my mom told me it was because she wouldn't have sex with my dad unless my sister and I weren't home."

Have you ever had a Reverse Curfew? Or established one for your kids?

A lot of my friends went to Sunday school, despite their families not being particularly religious. It's a common way here to get the kids out of the way so parents can have sex.

Why not just give them money for the cinema or something.

That sounds pretty unusual and a bit bizarre. Your parents should have gone out and spent the night at a hotel. I wouldn't keep my kids outdoors because of my needs for privacy with my partner. Go elsewhere. It's the kids' home too!

Seems stupid and selfish. I say a real reverse curfew is morning, "if you can wake early morning" after late night, you can do it again.

No, but I remember having to wait until my mother went to bed before I would come home because I was loaded.

no curfews... we talk about problems and make amends to avoid them in the future...

and I know better ways of telling my man, we need to wait a bit to have fun :D

Curfews are a concept I can't relate to. I would stay out all night long when I was a kid. Nobody said anything.
