I've been friends with Louis for 4 years. He has ADHD and is very poor and struggles to make friends.
He's incredibly lonely and that's why he's so clingy. It's not but he doesn't have friends or family, he even has a dog and cat but he's desperate for attention and to be seen as funny.
a lot if his jokes aren't funny and he goes on rants about sex a lot lately which is super embarrassing and he just makes excuses that he can't help it because of his ADHD he just says what comes into his head at times when I tell him to stop.
He's always messaging me stupid unfunny memes and always just messaging me for no reason and none stop and if I don't respond he gets annoyed. I have a husband and my own life. I don't want to be on my phone no stop talking shit I see him everyday at work already. I can't avoid him because as soon as he sees I'm online he messages
He also thinks he's super smart because he did a IQ test on Facebook that came to 112 which is just average and he won't stop talking about how incredibly intelligent he is.

This just a standard conversation with him, it so annoying. I don't know if he acts dumb on purpose or not.
I still love him like a brother he's just incredibly annoying. He's a good friend though and always looks out for me. He's extremely sensitive too so if feel ill hurt his feels if I confronted him. He knows himself he's clingy and apologises for it. He's the most loyal friend I've had. It's like I'm sherk and he's donkey

Acceptance. Accept this fact that they are like this and this is their nature, natural behaviour. Understand them and don't expect what you want to expect but expect them to act how they are in real.
Everyone is different. If we are going to change everyone then this world would be monotonous which is boring. Also nobody is perfect. We should learn to appreciate the diversity and imperfections.
We can either accept something or cut away from them. But if we are wanting to change someone's true nature true behaviour then we are encouraging them to fake. Fake world may look perfect but it's not right.
Everyone's life is different, and people are different because something made them so. Many things together makes a person complete and their true nature and behaviour. We must understand this.
You learn to say "no" when you don't feel like seeing him or talking.
You need to set boundaries and keep to those boundaries. If you don't you'll snap one day and it won't be pretty.
