Poll- how much do you pay for a studio apartment? is this enough to afford a studio apartment help?

Rent in the past years for a studio with bathroom used to be $1000. I rented a studio around covid for $1000. Now I’m living with mom but plan move out near my job and school and becuase I’m 27 never got married so I have to live on my own.
I’m seeing rent for a studio with bathroom and kitchen is now $1300 to $1600. If you get lucky you might find a place for $1200.

where my mom lives it’s a one bedroom Apt but $1500 she pays but it’s so tiny it’s like a studio.

I make per check $1300 to $1400 on a week with overtime. i get paid 2x a month.
is this enough to pay for a studio apartment?

I heard it’s normal $1300 is the normal price now for a studio. I just don’t have a boyfriend to split the rent would be much better

Depends on where you live, the size, quality and area. 1300 is basic rent for an apartment in some areas. Sometimes much more. Ideally rent should be no more tha 1/3 of a monthly wage but that isn't the case anymore as most people pay at least 40 to 50% of a month's wages for rent alone, that's why there is a cost of living crisis.

So if you can make 1300 or 1400 consistently every week you'll be fine. But if you don't make over time, and can make at least 500 a week, you can make do if you are careful with spending.

I don’t make that every week that’s for every 2 wks. So one check for rent and next check free to save and spend.

Also factor in like insurance, food, medicine, transportation etc.

I saw studios r super cheap in Vegas and San Diego for $1000 and bigger. But I can’t move to another state alone I would only do it if I had a partner but I’m alone 😔 so that’s y I stay in the city to not feel that lonley. I never got married in life. No guy ever asked me to marry him.
