Wholly false. Every state in the US has “safe harbor” laws, allowing women to just drop their kids off, no questions asked, at churches, hospitals, police stations, fire stations, and other designated shelters.
The few states that also allow fathers to do so always ask questions, and child support is typically allocated for the state. No joke.
Any refusal to provide the necessary documentation to prove he’s the father and the mother gave informed consent, the necessary information to collect support payments, and refusal to pay said support are deemed a crimes.

A lot of single mothers maybe even most actually deliberately try to keep their child/children's father away for very selfish narcissistic reasons such as maximum child support, to hurt their ex, so they can paint their ex as a monster to their children even though they were the ones cheating, because they want to slide another into the place of their ex as father, so everyone thinks their ex is a bad deadbeat dad and they a victim etc.
