Happy Birthday, Willow!!!
Sometimes my wife and I just go out for a nice meal at a place that has really good food. Since we live in a rural area, sometimes we will look up places that have a particular cuisine that I am craving and drive 60 miles to dine there.
Sometimes we will take a short vacation for a weekend or a few days and go do something fun. We might stay somewhere on the coast.
Last year, we toured the Avenue of the Giants in the northern California redwoods, stayed in an elegant B&B, and had some wonderful food.
One year, we went to Safari West in Petaluma, CA.

A couple years ago, my wife surprised me with a flight in an open cockpit, bi-wing airplane. The pilot flew over San Francisco and then treated me to some aerobatics.
Aerobatics in that kind of plane had been on my bucket list since I was a kid.

Birthday's are for kids and those celebrating a milestone bday. I've only spent them with family and close friends as an adult... Nothing special. I definitely appreciate the thoughtfulness but don't need it.
