Do you think daycare is good for kids?

Not really unless it's one of those fancy daycares that actually does background checks on the childcare worker and it has quality daycare items/lessons to teach kids how to do things before entering pre-k and kindergarten.
I understand for a lot of parents, they are often working and need daycare but it is ideal if one parent could stay home with the child vs putting them in daycare but that is unrealistic in this economy. Both parents are usually working. So if they are put in a quality daycare, I'm all for it. But they are usually very expensive.
Of course it's not good for kids. But it's a necessary evil for many.
I didn't click the links but obviously child abuse is super F'd up (any form of it) but I think that daycare really contributed to my kids social skills, fine motor skills, education and feel they got a head start in life by going a few days a week.
Choosing the right child care is hard but when you find a good one you just know.
My kids have always been encouraged to and do share most everything that happens in their day so if anything were to happen that was bad their mother and/or I would be informed by them about it.
@Simslover92 Read your update... thanks, yeah these are both concerning but you have to have faith that the place you choose is good and if the place changes or you feel the place is not right for whatever reason then you can change the place.
For instance someone you know drove a car and there was an accident and they got messed up, should you make the decision that driving cars = getting messed up or should you make the decision to drive a car carefully also knowing fully you could get messed up anyway because of some other person. Do your research and minimize the risk as there is always a possibility of something bad happening.
I can add more detail to my decisions of things about my child care experience for my kids including things that happened that I didn't like if you want over PM as I don't think I want to share it publicly.
sorry meant @therealdeal01
No, my wife stayed home with our kids. We did not want strangers raising our kids. I was not a big earner and it was challenging at times but my kids did not have to sit in a dirty diaper until 5 minutes before they get picked up and when they were sick they could stay in bed and Mt wife wold spoil them
Everyone in my family tell me to do daycare but y
Too many kids dying or being abused so I don't want to take a chance

I personally don’t mind reputable daycare centres especially for parents that work. My main reason aside for income wise is that it can help children interact with other kids and help build those social connections before they get to school
Maybe for some kids, but not for all of them.
It's child abuse.
Only if they have bad parents
