What made you determine your spouse or SO was "the one"?

My now'wife was there at the hospital every day for 3 weeks as I recovered from a car accident. She was there for me through it all.

I had ended a serious relationship and was single for over a year. I had just moved to a new city and started a job, so, I wasn't even thinking of starting a relationship. Then I noticed this cute guy and I would arrive to the same parking lot at the same time almost every morning. Eventually we starting talking as we would walk to our different buildings, then eventually he asked if I could come a little earlier some morning "so we could have a cup of coffee together", when I felt how excited I was, I knew he had the potential to be the one. After a couple dates and me constantly thinking about him, I pretty much knew he was the one.

I guess it was just a feeling. I don't know how to explain it. When i look into my husbands eyes I feel safe and loved. When ever something happens he's the first person I want to tell. I could spend hours talking to him.

Yeah. Accident was over 2 years ago. Im doing well.

I don't look at a guy and say to myself "He's the one" because every guy is different and each of them have brought some great qualities.

There was a few things fir me one was how he treated my nieces who are like my kids and two was how he understood and handles that some subjects I just won't discuss and he respects that

SHE was the one who was determined to have us get "engaged", and then later on, to get married. I just sort of sat back and let it happen
