Can you sense when a person is bad?

I mean adult or child. They could act like the nicest person in the world, smile at all the right times and meet your eyes. But what are the common tells that someone actually isn’t a good person? And how often are you right about when it comes to judging a person’s character?

Yes. It's a gut feeling deep inside but I felt it with my father who abused my mother, with my sister's father who turned out to be an angry man and probably abusive to his women, and to the guy who sexually assaulted me. I don't feel it often but when I do, I know I'm right about that person.

I often judge wrong, but because I judge people to be more bad than they actually are. Lot of compounded trust issues. It's easy for me to get the impression someone is manipulative or cruel.

I wouldn't say I can sense when someone is bad so much as I can identify a person with solid values. Trash cannot hide they're trash indefinitely. They're true nature will always betray them and some point if you wait long enough.
