What does it mean if someone gets "bad vibes" from someone else?

My friend has said that my other friend gives her "bad vibes" and to stay away from this friend. Does bad vibes just mean you get a bad feeling about them? How would you judge that though?

I have that. I told my older brother who’s 29 to not go out with this girl he was seeing and he said why and I said because she’s going to be toxic and she’s giving me a bad vibe. He ignored me. 6 months later he texts me saying this “Bitch! How the fuck did you know she will be toxic? She cheated on me and I am fucking mad and sad.” and I said “Dude, I told you and you didn’t listen.” The vibes thing comes off to me like this voice in my head saying something will happen badly or this person is suspicious or this person cannot be trusted.

Yes it's just how you read them, if you can't read a person then you are easily manipulate, I can read a person just by conversating with them for a few minutes by how they are and what they say, you pick up vibes
