Could you kill your pet if they were suffering or they were contagious with some sort of disease?

Or would you have someone else do it for you? You know taking them to the vet isn’t going to save them , so would you still take them to a vet and pay a shit ton of money for them to put it down for
You , or would you take them out yourself. Or have someone else like a friend do it for you?

I mean I wouldn’t be able to kill him myself. I just got a new puppy and he’s already got my heart so no I couldn’t kill him myself. I would choose to euthanize if he was suffering and wouldn’t get better.

With my previous dog, I came home one day and he wasn’t doing well. Put him in the car and rushed him to the vet. He died on the way there. I ask myself often if I’d taken him to a closer vet would he still be here, or if I’d taken him sooner to the vet could I have done anything but at the end of the day the only change would’ve been price. He still cost me $400 for his cremation and urn. But if I’d gotten him there in time he still would’ve died, albeit in a much more peaceful manner than he did. But the only differences would be price I still lose my best friend in the end.

No I couldn't do it to a pet like a dog or cat or even rat or something you have had and loved a long time. But a pet that's suffering that maybe your not too attached to then yes. I had to "kill" a chicken that hatched deformed and was crying suffering with pain. Worse thing I ever had to do. But so was listening to its suffering.

With a bigger pet like a dog.. it is much better to let the vet do it more gently with an injection than any method we could use. I mean, maybe if I owned guns like in the U. S amd lived out in the farm lands I'd do it that way. But it's definitely not the case here. Because you also gotta bury the animal. And the vet can take care of that too so you don't have to.

If that was the only option yes I would. It would kill me to do it, but I couldn't see them suffer. Its hard enough to take them to the vet when it is time.

Only if they had rabies and that was the only job (I would love my pet but rabies does eventually reach the animal’s brain and that dog or cat can attack you during the manic stages and either kill you or pass the rabies on once it’s in the manic stage)

I'll take them to the vet. I think animals know... I don't want their last image being of me or anyone else doing that. At the vet, they get an injection that's supposed to be quick. They would just think they're going for a vet visit and then not know anything after that.

Yes of course, you always have to do what's in the best interests of the animal, and that means you have to stop their suffering if there's no other way.
