Would you end a friendship or relationship with someone that got jealous of your achievements or anything good happening to you?

I had a few friends’ and relationships that I had to let go of through the years because they were jealous of anything good happening to me , they tried raining on my parade , instead of being happy and supportive of me , which I felt was very odd as to why they acted that way. Especially when good things happened to them that I was happy for and supportive of their achievements and the good things that happened to them. Have you ever had friends or partners’ that weren’t supportive of your achievements or any good things that happened to you? Did you stay with them or did you drop them from your life? What was it that they were jealous of?

I had noticed that among some friends. I didn't drop them but just distanced myself a bit and stopped sharing with them or trusting them too much. I believe only people who are unhappy with their lives hate to see others succeed, so I tried not to take it to personally.

Yes because that person has a negative vibe and is very toxic and negative , To be honest you don't need to deal with that person I would shuned them.

That’s pretty much what I did , I just stopped investing my time into them and stop sharing things with them all together , if they called me to share their good news , I would just say Oh that’s Great Good for you , ok take care and hang up the phone , hoping they got the hint that they didn’t care about me , so why would I care about them. Usually that was the last time I heard from them , I didn’t want to be their enemies I just no longer wanted them to be a part of my life from how jealous they got over it. I was t raised with a silver spoon on my hand , I was raised to be a worker and to work for the things I wanted , I never depended on anyone else to take care of me once I was capable of working. So when I witness or hear someone achieve something that they are proud of and worked for , I am happy for them but when they can’t do the same for me , then I don’t consider them a good friend or partner whatsoever. Another type of people I can’t stand is 1 uppers , basically whatever you buy that you are proud of , they turn around and go buy the same thing but better than yours. I can’t stand those type of people lol
