How much shortcut words you use when you chat with people?

Quite a bit I do. More I'm text but words too. Like spag for spaghetti bolognaise. Dom for domino's. Mc Dee for McDonald's. BK for burgerking. I think sometimes it comes from being a parent and talking to your kids. Making words sound more fun. And just quick. .

None! I come from the school of letter writing where anticipation builds as you wait for the mail to come. Where reading conveys excitement and you savor each and every word.
Shortcuts diminish those feeling and leave you wondering what was really on their mind? Were the words even heartfelt or just thrown together in haste as if time was running out and you needed to be done with it?
But I guess, even a poem of shortcuts is still a poem….

I use a lot of contractions like I'd, it's or wasn't. Aside from that, I don't use many shortcut words other than the occasional OMG, WTF, LOL or LMAO. But I generally don't like it when people use initials instead of words.
I might also use abbreviations and slang at times.
