Thanksgiving used to be my favorite holiday.
Advancing age and the evolution of family structure over the past 30 years has reduced it to being just another day of the year for me.

I miss my grandma's roast pork.

Sigh.

Can relate very much. My grandmothers just made the best meals, including the pies for dessert.

One of my sisters was able to master many of my grandma's pie recipes, as well as some of her savory dishes, too.
