Why do I buy stuff and then get bored so easily?

Like I buy stuff , something i think looks really cool, I’m begging my dad for, then i don’t want to play them anymore after i start using them or when i get home. I don't know why that happens! I get bored with them fast.

I'd have to know what you are buying, but I'd guess you are buying in the moment based on fleeting emotions and not putting real thought into what you buy

Usually based on need but a lot of places both online and offline are designed to set things up so that you want to buy them. Grocery stores are organized in a way to sell you specific products by putting them at eye level while also quietly overstimulating you with visuals, jewelry stores use light displays to make their gems look more sparkly than they are, and online stores track your info and frequently bought products, setting up a timeline to make you buy more. We’re more susceptible to ad campaigns than we’d like to admit. Hell, the whole reason we even have engagement rings is because of a very strong ad campaign in, like, the 50’s.
