Is it foolish that im willing to talk to jahova witnesses?

So I was sitting in my house, and heard a knock on the door. They were a couple of jahova witnesses. I dont really believe in a god. I told them that. They talked a little bit about the bible and asked a couple questions about myself. They asked if its okay if they come back and talk to me more. I said sure. Honestly im just kind of a lonely person and any kind of company helps a little bit. I know these people get a pretty bad rap. Even though I don't really believe in all this stuff, they likely do, and are genuinely wanting to save people's souls, and I appreciate that.

It should be noted that they send new members to knock on doors specifically so that they are treated poorly. That way they radicalize the concept of us and them. Being too reasonable and friendly while also not someone they can convert will quickly put you on the no-go list.

its usually not a good idea to talk to them if your uninterested in what they have to say , as they might record your address and keep coming back when in the area

A friend of mine I went to school with converted a few years back. He dropped by with his family & started pushing religion. I told him stop by any time but leave your briefcase closed. For some reason he never came back.
