I have this male friend and he’s been with this girl who has a fiancée who is in prison (not sure entirely how long he’ll be there for but it’s a little while) and my male friend is madly in love with this girl and maybe she’s serious about him too who knows. The man in jail doesn’t know about my male friend. She thinks I want my male friend and now is trying to be all buddy buddy with me and I find it to be the strangest thing because this woman has never tried to talk to me before unless it was work related.
How can I help my male friend? I don’t want to see him get hurt.
I need advice. Anything helps. Thanks.

If I were you I’d stay out of it. He already knows she’s taken, he knows he’s only obtaining this woman through her cheating (which she would inevitably do to him), yet none of that is enough for him to back off. He’s knowledgeably walking directly into the hurt, and not showing a shred of care for the state of her relationship. He knows what he’s doing, so let him do it and let him deal with the outcome. He doesn’t want to be saved. As for the girl, she’s obviously being fake so don’t be naive enough to take the bait. That means don’t get close, don’t feel the need to overshare or build a relationship. Set a boundary and it work related.
Give him. BJ
