Why can't most people handle the fact that most people they know, don't care about them (except close friends, family, romantic partners)?

Most people including neighbors, classmates, people you work with, etc. don't care about you. These days if you quit your job, move away, etc. most of your neighbors/coworkers won't contact you at all/hardly. There are exceptions but for the most part. When you talk to people about this most stay quiet, play mental gymnastics, etc. And I'm talking about here in America.

I agree with you.
to be honest, I don’t really have the time to care for so many… as well most people are downers… I stay away.
I have my immediate family, hubby, kids. Parents…

siblings…nephews and nieces… that’s about 20 of us… we truly care for one another… call often and meet often.

other than that… we are ourselves….

i only heard so much about families don’t talk to each other and falling apart… I am more concern about this than the question you posted.

i am extremely social and can make lots of friends… but i cut them out: most are downers 2. I just don’t have the time. 3. Their life and death is generally connected to their loved ones… I would suggest focus on building a loving kind family for true support.!

for example… when I’m sick, I want my hubby by me and my kids… I don’t want my friends to stay over night to take care of me… make sense?

I am saying why are MOST people here in this country afraid to ADMIT IT or are in DENIAL ABOUT IT? Many people or most people I talk to about this stay quiet, do mental gymnastics, dent, etc. Is it a hard pill for most people to swallow in this country?

For example, when it comes to young people these days maybe it is them just being naive, when it comes to coworkers. When they say they made a family. Even if they aren't lonely and get along with their actual family and have had friends already. When its people in their like late twenties and all the ages after that, if they say that, they were either lucky to have coworkers that kept in touch a lot when leaving work, it is their first job ever, or they are in denial how society is in America or they are lonely. What do you have to say?

I care. But its like i draw circles so wife and children in the first circle. Next circle is parents and siblings. Next circle is friends and relations etc. Its not that I don't care about other people, I just care less and less. If I can help someone even a stranger I probably would depending on the situation. Id never give a stranger especially a woman a ride for instance.

You don't get what I mean. Did you read my details? I didn't mean it like that. Of course people help strangers. What I mean is with most people you know that are not relatives, romantic partners, close friends won't give a shit or that much shit if you move away and all of a sudden never contact you again, hardly contact you, or only contact you when you contact them. Neighbors don't care about you either. Once you move away most will not contact you etc. Same with coworkers, etc. Most people you know don't give a shit about you. And that is how it is for most people in America.

We have to still respect each other and apart of that keep a pathway to create connections. This is how we create close friends or romantic partners. They were strangers at one point.

The point is most people can't accept that most people don't care about us that much. You admit it. People that are close friends, relatives, romantic partners care. But most people outside of that don't. Most people can't admit that. They are scared. Do you know most people are chicken to admit that?

I've had coworkers that have been bothered by the fact that people that have left the company didn't keep in touch. I've always wondered why. They've moved on, they have new people to talk to. The funny thing is, they're mad because the people that left aren't reaching out to them, meanwhile they aren't reaching out either. Like they expect the other person to care while they don't.
