Full time parents, (especially single parents), do you feel like homework shouldn't be allowed?

I am a single mom, and I work full time. I have ZERO help. No dad.

I have a 5th grader with ADHD. It is VERY hard getting him to do his homework. Especially, because I am mentally drained as well after a long day of work and just want to crash. I have ADHD as well, which doesn't help. We're both overstimulated zombies at the end of the day. I wish homework wasn't a thing, unless if it was work that was not done in class. After work, nobody wants to do more work. Id prefer spending quality time together, but instead its WWIII. I offer a reward if he does well but it doesn't work. I take away electronics and he wants to go to sleep instead. I would love to sign him up for an extracurricular activity, but I feel like I can't though because of all the work load he gets. A page of math practice is fine, and vocab/spelling.. anything else nope. The school counselor, teacher, and nurse just want to shove pills down his throat. He takes a small does but they want more. I refuse.
