I would be perfectly fine with it. It's their life and it would be selfish of me for me to expect them to alter their life for my own desires once they are an adult. As long as they are safe, secure, and happy then I am good.

That is two decades in the future. It is impossible to know. With AI and technology rapidly exploding, there is no way to guess what society will be like. It is not like the past, when society didn't change for generations.
