Did you listen to the adults when you were younger?

Did you listen to the adults or other authority figures when you were younger? How did things turn out for you?

I listened to those who had respect for me but I would butt heads with them anyhows as I could have a strong will and in need to do things my way, thought that freedom was mine and my rights. I did not want to be told what to do as if anyone thought they were the boss of me. I wasn't telling them what to do, so. I couldn't understand it because nothing of the bad stuff they were afraid was going to happen ever remotely did so it was hard to take it seriously. The threats I was aware of myself I took precautions to.

I did gave a strong distaste for those who had come to authority and loved power and taking every opportunity to abuse it. Think I recognized them early. They were always stupid too to think they would get away with it but when, if I knew how to involve others or have them tested, they did their withdrawal act. I had nothing to hide but they apparently had, just when I thought the fun began.

my mom and step-dad, i had to, but with other people, i just did whatever i thought was best

like i used to get in trouble in 7th grade for dying my hair unnatural hair colors. it was a stupid rule, so i didn't care

I did listen and I learned a lot. Some of the things I learned were positive in the I could use in the future. However , the negative things I learned were negative because of the behavior but , I learned , what NOT to do.

Mostly not, because they knew very little science or history, so I knew that a lot of things they said were just wrong.

Yes, most of the time. But also a lot of times I did not listen and I've learned for my mistakes.
