Yea but only cause they have to. My parents suck. Its a wonder im here, i had to figure things out myself and take care of them while trying to grow up. As much as I hate them they made me strong. Or I made me strong because of them. Not really sure, but I call it love and my supporting them is my way of doing what I wish they would have for me. I learned respect is earned ourselves. That is the key if you want anyone to listen to you; be who/what they wish they were.

My father died 19 years ago. My mother is alive but 94 years old. She listens but never remembers,

Well mine have passed on, so... no. But while they were alive we'll say there was some selective hearing going on. I think it's that way with everyone.

yes i teach my mom violin things all the time and she was my first violin teacher
