The hearth-fire shared is warm and bright,
With blended souls to chase the night.
But when the traveler walks alone,
A deeper seed of "I" is sown.
The walls you find are not a cage,
But parchment for a spirit-page.
No longer leaned on others’ breath,
The soul must rise o'er quiet's death.
The astral hum of friend and kin
Is hushed to hear the Word within.
In morning's gold and evening's blue,
The Hierarchies speak to you.
So fear not silence, fear not space,
For in that void, you find your face.
The lonely room, through rhythmic art,
Becomes the Temple of the Heart.
it has it's ups and downs , the up part is having your privacy and peace and quiet, the down part is you can easily feel alone, unless you have friends" that spend a lot of time with you. or if you get nervous and scared being alone, you are best to buy a weapon for protection like a gun or get yourself a guard dog. Me personally has both lol
My situation was like what you might be going through. I moved out of state and lived by myself for over a year. It wasn't bad at first, I was going to school and I had a quiet place to study and privacy but it eventually got lonely, because I also didn't really have any friends. Once I made friends, it was okay again, at times some would stay over for a weekend and we'd do things together. It will be an adjustment and you will miss people but hopefully you will quickly meet new people to fill the void.
I think for me it’s a peaceful experience lol… because I’m so introverted. It’s literally introvert heaven.
But of course it can feel weird or scary sometimes, especially at night. I was in a relationship as you already know for so many years. And whenever I heard something I’d send him to go check lol

Well, living alone would be you have to be capable enough to do all the household chores (I mean the apartment where you live) all by yourself. You need to be very good at cooking and cleaning the house etc. Plus your income has to be really good so that you can easily afford the rent and pay your required bills.
Plus a person must have self discipline as well. By that I mean there are people who when they live alone they tend to develop certain self destructive bad habits like smoking, drinking or going and staying out late at nights on a regular basis, so all these self destructive bad habits must not be developed.
Other than these living alone can actually be very nice because then you can get all the privacy you ever wanted and plus there will be less distractions so if you want to work from home you can do that easily.
That is my opinion.
For me i love it. In the last past few months I have been asked by 2 friend if I was looking for a roommate. .. it gives me anxiety, right now, even thinking about it. L o l no , if I have a roommate , I want it to be a girl , , a girlfriend I dont need to really need to live with anyone
I have a brother and when him and his girlfriend you listen to an argument. He comes here and he'll stay a day or two , but I mean , that's all I can handle him for. Lol
But to answer your question there are a lot of positives but depending who you are. ..
It’s pretty nice. It was just me and my cats when I did it for a while, so I wasn’t terribly lonesome. I did develop a habit of talking to them as much as myself tho. Night can be the worst for scares though, so make sure you have something to help you feel better like a baseball bat with a tube sock over it, or a knife under your pillow, or a gun if you feel so inclined.
Depends on who you are. I love the freedom of living alone at the moment. I can socialize when I want and have time to myself when I want. No one really has a claim on my time nor am I chained by text, email, or phone calls. I still have my 27 year old son still living with me but in a 4,000 square foot house we both have plenty of space to do our own thing and we pretty much do.
It can be tough. Sure, I do get out occasionally to have lunch and play pick up games of football or basketball with the fellas but then it's back in my cell. Oops, I mean, then it's back to my place. Alone. Just me and three concrete walls 😔
I'd love to know. I live with three others in a dorm. XD
Yeah I did that before. Lived with others in a dorm. Wasn't the best but I honestly don't mind having a roommate in an apartment but this will be a big change if I'm living all alone.
That is a huge change. Get a little pet, like a @Circushowcowboy.
Bahaha 😄 perhaps I will.
Lol 😆
Haha right.
I have never been alone to know.
I can't see anything positive about it unless you are just a very antisocial person.
i'm hardly home enough to notice, and when i am home i love the silence and alone time
Most of the time I love it. Sometimes I miss having someone to come home to... it gave life a rhythm.
Absolutely love it. When I was a broke bartender just getting started I had roommates, now solo living, absolutely glorious.
I've never lived alone. It's not ideal for me because I prefer being with people
its kind of boring at first but then develop a routine. read books do art walk around naked... but most importantly stay aware be careful and keep your doors locked
I enjoy it. I do tend to be a loner and enjoy some solitude. I enjoy my own company.
You get to do what you want whenever and not be judged. Think about it... flicking the bean in the living room while watching that werewolf video... nobodies going to know you get down like that.
I love living by myself. I have lived by myself for so long now I doubt very much I could share my house with someone else.
It's not so bad but having someone around is good to.
It can be a good way to find out just who you are.
It's great. You can take your time in the bathroom and nobody knocks on the door.
I enjoy living alone. It enables me to have women visit when ever they want so we can do what we both want to do.
@Simslover92 Thank you for the Like
It's hard. I always have a lot to do, and have very little time for myself.
I liked it. I'm the boss
I could do what I wanted. Im an introvert, so solitude was perfect.
It's not so good. At least not in this current incarnation.
I'm living alone and enjoying the peace and quiet
