The question is subjective. You can talk about your finances or your lifestyle or your family.

5 moI think I'm getting there. I have friends from all different levels and walks of life, status etc. They all respect me, many of them even look up to me. I'm working on fixing my family. I've had a career that maybe didn't go as high as I wanted yet but gave me the opportunity to prove everything to myself I set out to when I was a kid.
I have love, I have some money, I have enough problems to grow and my body works, my mind is sharp. I'm not disfunctionally depressed anymore. Spend most of my time working on stuff I love and helping people. And maybe most importantly I'm proud of the life I lived so far and I'm excited about the future.
I'm very very lucky. I really had no business expecting my life to turn out as well as it has so far. In fact I didn't. But I just kept pushing through the shit and eventually became crazy enough to be happy.

Anonymous(36-45)5 moI'm rich enough for my and my loved ones financial needs. If the US economy collapses it would put a strain on things, but I have enough money out of the country to be comfortable for 20 years. If the world economy collapses, that's a different story. Not likely to happen. There are other riches too, and I've been blessed with many of those as well.

That's good and healthy.
5 moas most people who haven't worked a single day of their life for a wage, no, i am most definitely not rich.

What about your life quality in general?
- 5 mo
my parents do what they can and while i was among the last ones in class to get a phone, i dont think i've missed out much at all. always busy doing fun things and preparing for my future. not sure what i wouldve spent all that rich people money on. i mean i have ideas, but they wouldve been really wasteful. i couldve bought really expensive makeup early and impressed everyone, but i dont think my life is worse bc i had the cheap kids stuff at age 8. also, my friends and i always shared, that was taught to us early on, even if it sometimes hurt to give my most cherished things to others. they said it'd help me grow as a person.
- 5 mo
While my parents are wealthy, however they provided me a childhood similar to yours. I used to have a phone during lock down but it was taken away when my high school started because they learnt I used it till late night and I still don't have a phone now, I will probably get one before I leave for college. The only thing they don't hesitate spending money on is books and anything academic or career related. Otherwise I don't really hang out with my friends because I dont have a pocket money and instead of buying gifts, I learnt to make handmade gifts.
You are living a nice life. That's great. - 5 mo
why does pocket money play a role with meeting friends? we mostly chit-chat about things together anyway. best rich parents could give me in this regard was to buy more water bottles instead of us drinking tap water
- 5 mo
Well, I should have added a bit more context.
I attend an elite school so my friend circle is filled with kids who can spend a lot. So when you hang out then you are expected to go somewhere like cafe or restaurants or mall and all, places where you spend. My friends are really kind and won't mind me not financing anything but I don't wanna go out and hang out on their money. I only meet them in school and talk to them online. - 5 mo
alright, yeah, i guess the rules are a bit different in elite schools 😅
5 moWe aren't poor we just don't have any money. 😊

Anonymous(45 Plus)5 moNo. But I am starting to get to the level of "comfortable". My passive income has reached the point where it's more than what I make from my 9 to 5 job. As far as my lifestyle and family. I've done terrible. I may be arguably a financial success but as far as everything else I'm just waiting to die.

Are you mentally uncomfortable with your life?
Opinion Owner5 moI just expected more at this point. I thought once you become financially well off everything else just falls into place. It doesn't.
- 5 mo
I am a kid so I don't know any better but I thought that as long as you are a financially independent adult, you have the absolute freedom to do anything and everything gets better because you are self sufficient.
Does adulthood really suck that much?
Opinion Owner5 moNo. I just think I did it wrong. Money is NOT everything.
- 5 mo
If you could go back, what would you change?
Opinion Owner5 moI'm not sure going back would change anything. But there's a woman I would've married. Might be better for her if I didn't.🤷♂️

u 5 moI currently have no debts... and so I do have chance to "save and invest"
my father always says that's a better kind of "rich", lol11 Reply- 5 mo
And your father ain't wrong. Living life risk-free is rich enough.
5 moI'm rich in terms of family. I have a great support system from my family, although we aren't really incredibly communicative.

That's similar to my family. We don't talk much but we are there for each other.

5 moNot rich but privileged. i'll be honest if i didn't have my parents i would have been homeless at this point. im very thankful for them and i also try to help out homeless people in my area too.
11 Reply- 5 mo
I recently realized that privilege in hands of good people is like investment of God into the world and that cured most of my depression.
I’m very rich in health and very rich with a wonderful family ☺️💕

5 moI'm only broke financially but I plan to change that as well lol
113 Reply- 5 mo
Oh boy I am going to be in 100,000 dollars debt after 7 months and then we can be broke together.
- 5 mo
Nah what is this together you speak of, I'm broke I'm not in dept, I'd rather die of starvation than be in dept 😂
- 5 mo
Am I the only stupid person who would rather be in dept than depend on my parents? lol
- 5 mo
Yea cause your parents got better deals lol, my parents bought their apartment at 88k like 30 years ago, now there's nothing cheaper than 180k here, that's just shelter, not counting everything else, with dept you can be in dept and still be homeless 😂
- 5 mo
That sounds awful... until I remember my dad is in 500,000 dollars debt so I have no option but to be in debt if I wanna continue studying.
- 5 mo
Well that's a terrible situation to be in, I don't know what profession you want to choose now, since you've grown from your other desires I would assume, but whatever you choose I'm sure you'll thrive at, then you can help your dad out of dept as well, I doubt he would want you to fall into dept as well, I doubt he's sacrificed everything he has just so you can fall down the same rabbit hole as him, you should use that time he's bought for you to focus on something you can use to get both of you out the rabbit hole, it all starts with an idea, you piling dept would pile more on both of you
- 5 mo
Well yours are just overpriced on top of the overpriced, democrat states are like that unfortunately lol
- 5 mo
My dad is technically in debt with our home as mortage. That sounds so terrible. Lemme change my words.
My dad is in debt with one of his two homes in mortage and me and my sister were still able to study in the most elite school of the state, my sister is still studying there. And we live comfortably and infact my dad also brought another land. If anything goes down then my mom's rich also. We have three cars, one of them in my profile pic, and also a driver. We are ridiculously rich and I hate that I am being raised in comfort. So that's why I want to pull out my own loan and not rely on my parents financially after being an adult because people including me hate nepo kids. - 5 mo
That's understandable but you haven't turned 18 yet and you are already thinking of loans, If over there is anything like the US then you won't be able to even get a loan, you have to build credit first, which is definitely not something you want to get into dept on as it effects a decent part of your life
- 5 mo
I will be 18 before college starts. For new adults their parents are their co-signers in most cases for collateral free loan. My parents have good credit score and that will be considered. And if I manage to score a really good score in my high school finals then I can have the loan independently without my parents as cosigners. But I will have to look into this more, hopefully I get a merit based scholarship.
- 5 mo
Okay so it sounds like there's ways, you'll find a solution I'm sure, you should do research on it to see what's best there.
Anonymous(18-24)5 moMy family is. I’m not personally. Though I guess technically we’re closer to wealthy than rich.
