Have you ever been used?

From what I hear, people say its common, personally I never really cared to associate with people like that so I've had a small group of people I associated with and were all loyal, so people see to have a hard time with avoiding being used so I'm wondering how common it is 🤔

You bet I have been used just like everyone has been, mainly in their youth, as children or even as toddler.

You are being used when a parent tells you "eat your dinner or you will be deprived of TV" or "do your homework or else...".

This is something that I believe everyone has gone through when menaced by a parent or family member that there will be retaliation if you don't do something.

How many times have I been used by my mom when she sent me to the corner store to buy food just to tell me that she forgot something and sent me again.

Not that I minded at that time because I loved my little new bike but it was a form of being used.

I know that I have been used in my past and not so long ago.

People aren't going to tell you that they are just using you or that they are going to use you. You only find out when it actually happens to you.

People wear a mask sometimes and I am not clairvoyant to see through their mask and know what they are up to with me.

I only find that out when their mask slips off and by then it's too late for me to do anything about it. Sad!!

It's a tough question to answer in some ways. But ya I've been used plenty of times. Sometimes on purpose as a means to an end and sometimes without me knowing. And sometimes because even though I recognized it, I had no other option.

I think you should be careful with a mentality like that. Being used isn't always necessarily a bad thing. So it's not good to tie your identity to never being used.
