Which is truly the lesser of two evils for a parent to hear?

Please help me with your opinion on which is a worse thing for a parent to hear. That their son is

Gambling addict

Cocaine addict

I would think cocaine addiction is marginally worse than gambling addiction, though I've not been involved in them.

Any addiction spoils peoples lives, and their families.

The cycle should be broken out off as soon as possible.

I'm going to say that cocaine is a bigger problem, but the other isn't much better either
