How would you feel if a sibling surprised you with a dream trip?

My little brother is half of the world away, I promised him I would take him with me here someday, I have traveled extensively with my previous partner last year, this year I want to prioritize my birth family, people who always stood by my side and loved me, so I am just buying him tickets for May, to explore the best of China with me. It’s nice because it’s our first time to travel together, reminds me of the childhood game we played, we used to pretend we were rowing in the boats and traveling around the world, in jungles and oceans. And now we are making it actually happen! That feels so good.

We’ll travel to Beijing and Xi’an for the first week and we’ll finish in Shanghai. I want him to feel the place I live in and for me to share him my bit of the life here in my city.

I’d feel really loved. Not just because of the trip… but because someone wanted to share something that meaningful with me. The childhood connection makes it even more special.

We will, but a brother sister bond is very special, I never wish on anyone to lose that so early in life.

You seem like a nice person. But in this case, there was no such bond. They were both significantly older older than me. And both very troubled. I ended up taking care of them from when I was 15 to about 50. The end was a mercy for them. And me. Don't derail your own thread. I was just trying to be humorous with my original comment.

That'd be pretty dope if finically circumstances warranted it I'd go but if me leaving to go on the trip but our house in jeopardy then I'd have to decline since I help out finically a lot with my family. And if that money isn't coming in things get bad really quick.
