Does getting older really have advantages, or is youth always better?

When I was younger, I was beautiful and I had a better body than I have now and more clothes styles suited me. On the other hand, I had twice as much trouble finding a partner, less money and a lot more insecurities. I had no clue about anything; and I didn’t know as many good people as I know now. I also understand my family better and get on better with my dad.

I like getting older. I'm wiser than when I was on my teens and 20s and I wouldn't want to be younger. Life experiences make me think and act in different ways and make better decision.

you can gain a lot more perspective, through experiences and lessons learned and re-learned too

That’s just what I think. I was beautiful when I was young and now I’m not, but I feel better at my age now, wiser, more settled with who I am and where I belong.

I feel that the older I get, the better I become. Maybe when I reach my 70’s or 80’s I’ll change my mind.

Neither is inherently better; each has their ups and downs. Also some people are happier when younger, some people are happier when you're younger.

Although if you're a woman, you get a very *ahem pressing reminder of your age/mortality :S
