Have you ever have a heartfelt conversation with your parents and cry?

Typically I would never wanna show nor shown my family how emotional I can be, but I just had such a heartfelt conversation with my mom on the phone… I couldn’t hide my tears… and she could tell I was crying. But it was a really happy & grateful moment for me.

Yes but I didn't cry until after I walked away once when I was 16 and a half and I was leaving her house my mom's house and then probably about a year before her death I was taking care of her and she called me into her room and she told me that she was proud she thought I was a whole different person because she never really saw this side of me but what a good man I turned out to be and how good of a person I am for taking care of her and doing it right and not raising my voice not doing anything except for allowing her to live the best days of her life and she appreciated it and when I walked away I just said thank you and I had tears coming down my face

Yep i did and I cried cause my parents were so hard on me coming up. I thought they hated me cause my brother and sister had it so easy. They wasn't hard on me cause they hated me they was hard on me cause they seen my potential

Low key felt that bc I didn’t know my mom thought I was the prettiest and most innocent daughter… it was kind of mind blowing after many years

Things are much better. I didn't appreciate then but I do now the seen my potential and wanted me to see it as well. My parent pushed me to bring out the best in me. My mom always told me im at my best when im under pressure and she was right. My mom and my father are gone now but me and my siblings will never forget the lessons they taught us

I did. The day doctors told us my father wouldn't survive his brain tumour and that the next operation would be the last. We all cried a lot and talked a lot.

Yes but it was to applolgize for something i did to piss them off and we had a brief but emotional chat about it.

Some of those conversations are the best when we can just be open and have honest conversations with our parents… it’s healing for everyone :)

Thanks you, it's been over 20 years I still visit them once a year. It was very damning for me as a father to bury my children that hadn't had a chance at life.

Indeed. Yeah for a long time my mom and i weren’t on speaking terms much but i managed to patch things up with her. We have a much better relationship now thankfully. I encourage anyone if they can still to try their best to be on good terms with their parents before they go. I was determined to not have that happen and im thankful Im here now with my mom. :’)
