Why does my mom show more empathy to others than to me?

I noticed in any situation she is ALWAYS going to feel bad for the other person but not me

Your mother hasn't stopped mothering you. She still views you as her "child". Set some boundaries. Slap mom upside the head with the revelation that you're an adult now and expect to be treated as such.

My mom used to manipulate the shit out of both my sisters. She tried with me. I let her know in no uncertain terms from about age 18 that her guilt tripping bullshit and mind games weren't gonna work on me. Mom got very offended. But she stopped, LOL. The key was I truly didn't care how much I offended her.

Maybe bringing you up drained her of empathy for you xD like not saying this is your failure at all. Maybe it's just all she can do.
