Am I obligated to live with and support my parents forever because they are poor?

I’m in my late 20s and it feels I can’t ever live my own life as they are struggling. I’m unlucky and not married yet so I can’t disapear in my own house with my kids and husband. They never went to school, never bought a house, and complain daily of bills and rent and money. It stresses me and makes me feel I can’t live my life as they have finance issues. It makes me feel I can’t ever get married and do my own thing. My brother is married and never visits my parents so he never has to deal with hearing parents fight or complain of money 😓 I’m not financial stable yet so I can’t help them.

No one is obliged to look after their parents. It's great if you do it tho but I would totally understand those who don't want to deal with toxic parents once they become financially independent.

No, your parents are adults and have a responsibility to support themselves. If they are unable, they should receive government assistance. Point them to available resources, then live your life.
