How do you feel when it's your birthday and the entire room starts singing to you?
I'm usually just awkwardly standing there thinking "okay... WTF do I do now?"
And no, today is not my birthday.

I numbed myself always but next time i will feel as much emotion as possible. not necessarily react but feel it. Just emotion itself, i don't think happy or sad necessarily emerge, i expect to just feel emotionness, a heightened capacity to feel.
It's braver than numbing, cringing, and thinking "wtf." ㅤ
I honestly manage it long before my birthday. If it happens I just cringe and fake a smile. This year a a married woman who's been trying to have an affair with me went off on a tangent talking about balloons and decorations and letting "everyone" know. I think I hurt her feelings. 😂 It's just not my thing. Say "Happy Birthday" and shake my hand or give me a hug. Maybe buy me a drink. That's all I need from my friends.
Just sort of sit or stand there embarrassed. It's never not awkward. Especially since most people are just so bad at singing. Plus the happy birthday song itself is only cool if remixed by a professional singer or something.
I start hugging everyone...
and for some reason... it makes then sing louder, but also slightly faster... and high chances of then not even ending it, as I go around hugging all one by one, lol
It only happened once. It was very awkward. I didn’t know what to do. I blew out the candles too soon. Ell oh ell!
I love it I get involved and I acknowledge the people. I had a birthday recently, and I was sung happy birthday to. One time I was on a big jet airplane and the whole plane got involved and they sung birthday to me. I was honored. 😊
I just sit there and keep looking at all of them and smile 😊 a lot.
I'm an adult so I don't celebrate my birthday. It's cool for kids to do, like Christmas. After a certain age it is weird.
Sing too lol otherwise it's just awkward
I fucking hate it.
Get embarrassed.
