Should you avoid anyone who associates with someone who is your enemy?

I had a series of run-ins with a person who is very bad news. I was told by several higher ups to put space between me and her so that other people would not associate us. I then meet someone who insists on bringing her up in relation to me... to the point that I had to tell him a few times to stop... and had to walk out of two places after she made a scene.

When she makes the scene she makes sure the guy isn't there. I'm very mature and classy about brushing her off, but it's to a point that I've now asked security to step in, etc. She's not welcome to communicate with me.

The guy seems to be on her "side" with this and yet he keeps trying to be in communication with me. I'm keeping space now bc I don't trust him.

I think that's probably a best practice. Birds of a feather and all that. If they're chilling with them, I think that speaks volumes about their character. And who knows? If they're friends with your enermy, maybe a lot of shit is being said behind your back. It's not good to assume, but I think that would be the case for a lot of these cases.

I try to stay away from enemies and subscribe to the adage- the friend of my enemy is also enemy mine.

I dont have enemies, But i do have people i refuse to associate with. And yeah i dont associate with people who associate with them.

Yes she's awful. I wanted a formal restraining order but there's too much red tape.

I said true as instinctively but, my first transmission could be viable if you are in a heated exchange and feel information could be gained and pull the guy in as an ally.

I don't think the guy is planning on being an ally. I think he wants to play both sides and see where the greater ROI is for him.

There are no plans with the enemy except to cut them off and keep away from them.
The person who insists on being their friend... that is THEIR misfortune and poor judgement. I just don't know if I should allow them to know anything about them.
