Should I make amends with my ex-uncle after our conflict at work?

I’ve known my uncle since I was probably 8 or 9 years old. I would visit my aunt and uncle all the time. I was close with him then my actual uncles. Well him and my aunt got a divorce recently. My mother would help them out with their bills. Even in the process of them getting a divorce my mother still helped him. I helped him get a job where I work so now we work together. At work he would talk about my aunt and cousins in a negative way. Saying it’s “your aunt”. So I embarrassed him back and brought the big stack of his bills into work and handed it to him in front of everyone first thing in the morning. I try to keep my family business out of work. But he kept bringing it up.

by the way because of that he doesn’t speak to me anymore unless he has to. My family and I did a lot for him. My mother screwed her own sister in the divorce to help him because she knows how her sister is.

I don’t feel he’s obligated to me because I helped him out. It’s just a kick in the ass after helping him that he’s mad at me. After growing up with him that he’s willing to take it out on me. I know he owes ne nothing but it bothers me.
