If a girl asks for your advice about another guy

There's a girl who I've recently gotten to know. . .Ive caught her looking at me many times when we are at meetings for some extra curricular events. We've spoken every now and then, and she's also invited me along to an event which she was going to. . .but I didn't see the message until it was too late.

Recently, we were talking at one of our group gatherings and we got talking about each other and past relationships and values and how we both don't like sleeping around and all that. . . basically our values matched. . . then after that she started asking me for advice on how to you politely let down a guy. . .because there was this other guy who she likes as a friend but keeps asking her out. . . and she wanted a guys opinion on how to let him down gently but keep him as a friend. . .

So the question is . . . does this mean I've been friend zoned?

Possibly but not necessarily. If she is asking hoe to turn down a guy, then I'm thinking that she would just want a guy's point of view. But if she is asking you how to get the guy then she most likely sees you as nothing more than a friend.

From personal experience of "friend-zoning" a guy, it's more than likely that you still have a chance but once she gets comfortable with mentioning other guys around you (in a flirty way) then you've lost all hope sweety :(.

She did talk about her past relationship with one guy from uni. . . but that was just to tell me that she's only seen one other guy. . . and she's very weary of relationships because of what happened. coss we happened to be talking about relationships and trust and all that.

I was going to say that you might have been friendzoned, but then I noticed that she talked to you about letting down a guy. It's possible that she's really just interested in you as a friend and does want a guy's opinion on the matter. On the other hand, she could just be trying to gauge what your reaction will be about her dumping a guy.
