Would you rather have a boy or girl?

Question

Let's just say you could only have ONE child... For whatever reason. Would you want that baby to be a boy or girl? Any reason?

And no this isn't a "who's better between the two" type question.

I have a daughter, and from the moment I got pregnant I always wanted a daughter. And I don't want anymore children, one is good for me. So I was just curious about other people.

I have a feeling I'll probably end up never being a parent, but if I was, I'd like to have a daughter. I'd also prefer that my child was adopted. Since high school, I've said that I wasn't sure if I wanted to have children. This changed when I spent several years dating a woman who had a daughter. My (ex) girlfriend's daughter and I developed a strong relationship. I miss that parenting role and although it could be fulfilled with a son, I'd prefer a daughter.

idk I think a daughter whenever I imagine myself of being a dad which I'm not now I always imagine having a daugher and being a great dad. not a son I don't know y. maybe because I am more in touch with my feminine side...that sounds stupid but no particular reasons ... I would probably spoil her really bad but teach her to b a good person

Boy. girls are cute, but too high maintenance tomboy or not. Also when they get into their teen years it's a nightmare, guys too but not nearly as bad. Boys don't get periods and don't get pregnant, you just hope they're not out getting girls pregnant assuming my son isn't a criminal and out stealing sh*t. :l

Tough question...

I kinda want a girl cause they're cuter and more fun to dress up in cute outfits when they're little. But as they grow up girls usually become tougher to handle, especially as a mom. So I think if I could only have one I'd rather have a boy because every boy loves his momma ;)

I want a boy forsure. little girls are sweet but they grow into nightmares. boys love there moms till they die and I can't wait till I'm ready to have a little guy, I am gonna smother him with affection :)

They are so cute & cuddly. You can dress them up & treat them like a little Princess.

Boys seem so whiny if they cry.

You can teach girls to play baseball & other sports.

But mostly because you can just hold them & smother them with love.

I know many people have a preference for the sex of their children, but it seems trivial to me. I only want them to be healthy. Having a boy or a girl would both be wonderful.

If I was a single father (for whatever reason), I'd prefer a boy, because I can obviously relate to him better. If I had a wife/girlfriend, I'd prefer a girl -- but I honestly don't know why.

I want a girl. Sweeter and usually a lot more fun to shop with... males are rarely born in our family and girls tend to live into their 90's. Plus she would be incredibly athletic just like her mother :)

Boys. I love women, but they they are a real pain in the ass most of the time. Guys take care of themselves more, help out more, and are easier children to have.

Girls are great until they get to a certain age. As they say, with a boy, you only have to worry about one penis. With a girl, you have to worry about all of the other ones.

most definitely a girl; easier to handle. lots of boys are disrespectful brats to their parents in their teen years and are a nightmare to handle.
