normally if a guy breaks your heart he probably does not care much if you sleep with someone else. if he did care he would not have cheated. but it may bother him a little if its his best friend-but unless he is an idiot he would see right through it and your motives so I would not do that plus your exes best friend may fall in love with you and the best friend could wind up loathing you and it could ruin your repuation as slutty.

I say the best revenge is living well -that is not to get revenge. this would bother most guys more than anything id reckon.

If I dump you, I don't give a crap about what happens next. In fact, I'll be happy that my friend got laid. I'll also make sure that he doesn't have a relationship with you, meaning that you're just going to end up feeling used for sex. Male friendships are like this. I've actually had a girl try to this after I dumped her and I told my buddy to pump and dump her. He did, and she got even more mad at both of us. When a girl tries to get in-between two strong male friends, she comes out on the losing end.

My friend just got laid. I'm happy for him. Why would I get jealous? VMW, I understand the point you're trying to make here, but lets face facts. The very fact that girls try stunts like this is because they want attention of the man who dumped them. Girls don't like it when guys dump them, because it shows the end of commitment on his part. Most studies and anecdotal evidence shows that most girls prefer committed sex over NSA sex. All girl who plays this, will most likely get burned.

Also, once my buddy got wind of what the girl was up to, I told him to string her along as long as he can and he did it. Male friendships aren't catty. Men have, on average, far fewer friends than women do. If a woman is trying to disrupt the friendship, she has news coming to her. We're going to use her and lose her. Only childish girls would try a stunt like this. It has only happened to me once and I didn't react negatively towards the girl. Why give her the emotional outburst she's craving? Only a stupid would do that. Instead, it only vindicates the original reason why I dumped her!

Going from F-buddies to relationships isn't unheard of, but it happens about 1/3 of the time or less from most studies. Also, that's assuming there's no bad blood between the social circle.
